A crash on the Spaulding Turnpike on Monday is now being blamed on a medical condition. State Police and Milton Police responded to an accident call at 11am between exits 17 and 18, where a vehicle driving northbound crossed into the southbound lanes and eventually into a road sign. When police arrived on scene, the driver of that vehicle, 50 year old Barry Knowles of Las Vegas was unconscious. Police believe that a pre-existing medical condition was the cause and that neither drugs nor alcohol were to blame.
