According to Attorney General Michael Delaney, A licensed practical nurse will face one felony charge, claiming that she took a quantity of morphine that was prescribed for a patient at at the Edgewood Centre. 31 year old Nina Perez of Berwick is facing a Class B felony charge of possession of a controlled drug in addition to a Class A misdemeanor charge for abuse of a facility patient. The incident happened back on May 19^th, when it’s alledged that Perez is retained the morphine for her own personal use and administered the prescription drug flexeril, a muscle relaxant, to the patient as a substitute. Perez will be arraigned on Sept. 17 in Portsmouth.
