Parents Peeved with School Busses

Parents of Middleton students are peeved that the school busses are breaking down and have addressed their concerns with the School Board. Parents spoke out at the last school board meeting complaining that they aren’t being notified when busses are running late due to breakdowns and SAU 61 Superintendent Steve Welford says they will look into setting up a phone line that parents can call to inform them of daily bus situations. Welford also acknowledge that it might be more financially responsible to purchase new busses, which come with a price tag of around $85,000. Welford says he has proposed a special meeting to bring parents up to speed but thus far that meeting has not been set.
