When the Portsmouth Joint Building Committee meets tonight, it will have a School Board request to include air conditioning in the Middle School project. The Board discussed a document advancing the proposal at its meeting last night. Concerns that prompt the request include anticipated use of the school by summer programs, community program usage, and health issues for some students. The Joint Building Committee meets at 6:30 tonight at Little Harbor School. If they go along with the request, they’ll have to find room for the cost of the air conditioning in the 37.5 million dollar budget for the Middle School project.
