Portsmouth Ponders New E-Parking System

The I-Park program in Portsmouth may be coming to an end. The cities contract with e-park systems, provider of the I-Park system, comes to an end on Saturday and even though the city has arranged for a 90 day extension to further evaluate the system, the city is considering entering into a contract with OTI America Inc. to use its EasyPark electronic parking information and payment system. The city of Dover recently became the second US city to enter into a contract with OTI America, and because of the potential for that company to move into other New Hampshire cities, Portsmouth is looking at using their services. For those residents that currently have the I-Park device, you will still be able to use it but E-Park will not be accepting new accounts.
