Hosts: Open Mic (Weekend Edition)
Noon News Hour
I grew up in a ‘radio family’ in Central Florida, which is where I get my passion for this industry. My father had us all in the studio by the time I was 4, cutting commercials and voicing parts in comedy bits. I guess you could say in that sense that I haven’t grown up much. I’m a graduate of IllinoisState with a BA in Political Science, and I finally got into radio fulltime in the mid-nineties after a few years of playing music, which is still something I engage in on a nightly basis.
I'm really happy to be hosting the new weekend edition of Open Mic on WTSN AM 1270, and serving as production director for WTSN and our sister station, 98.7 the Bay. I have been messing with recorded sounds since I was old enough to spin tape on a reel-to-reel at our house. My parents really regretted buying our first tape answering machine. I had a lot of fun with that at their expense. I moved to New Hampshire in 2002…I have a lot of friends who ended up here, plus with my family being from New England, family I had not seen for ages. This is where, as kids, we used to load up the family truckster and come for vacations. So I have really had a love for the area for a long time. So being on the radio in the Seacoast is really where I want to be.
