Somersworth School Board Discusses Rollinsford Withdrawal
Reporter: Dave Andreesen Date: September 25, 2012
The Somersworth School Board continued discussion tonight on Rollinsford possibly withdrawing from the school district next year. In August, the Rollinsford School Board decided to explore other school districts to send the middle and high school students instead of Somersworth.
Some of the schools districts looked at were the Marshwood and Noble district in Maine, and Dover Middle and High School. Somersworth School Superintendent Jeni Mosca said it’s too early to know what financial effect Rollinsford students withdrawing from the district would have.
Rollinsford residents will make a decision on whether they will leave Somersworth schools in March during the annual town meeting.
