When I was a 7 and a half year old boy, I had a "Squish the Fish" T Shirt:

Yes, a Dolphin is a Mammal, not a Fish, but bear with me.
The Patriots were playing Dan Marino and the Miami Dolphins in the AFC Title game, and nobody game the Pats a shot. They hand't won in Miami since the days of Ponce de Leon it seemed. But the Pats had Craig James (before he was Glen Beck with an accent) and Mosi Tatupu, and a defense lead by Andre Tippett (who was LT minus the cocaine problem) and ran over the Dolphins for a 31-14 win, and their first Super Bowl appearance.
(The Pats also had the hateable Tony Eason starting over my hero Steve Grogan, but let's not talk about that right now.)
The Pats would go on to get slaughtered by the '85 Bears, 46-10, but beating the Dolphins was the greatest moment of my young life.
Why do I mention this? Because a lot of us have gotten used to the Patriots being in the Superbowl, and I can remember when it was a BIG DEAL for the Patriots just to get to the Playoffs! Don't take these days for granted, it was only 1990 when the Pats were 1-15, and Rod Rust was delcaring, "I'm proud of my men".

HE WOULD ACTUALLY SAY THAT!!!!
Anyway, I wasn't impressed with the Ravens last week, if Houston had a decent QB they would've killed 'em. I think the Pats roll, and cover the 7 point spread.
THE PICK: Patriots 31 Ravens 17
6:30 PM NY GIANTS (+2.5) @ SF 49ers
Have you heard ANYONE pick the 49ers? ANYONE? This is a team that went 13-3, slienced all critics of Alex Smith (I was among the biggest Smith haters) and beat a New Orleans team that everyone and their momma had ticketed for the NFC Title game. The Giants are playing great, but it's going to be a muddy turf, and Eli Manning will spend most of the day looking up at the sky. I'M TAKING THE NINERS!!!!
THE PICK: SF 24 NY GIANTS 21
Both games are right here on WTSN, enjoy the games and GO PATS!!!

WIN IT FOR GROGAN!!!
