21 year old Dalton Carkuff of  Somersworth man is currently being held on $5,000 cash bail on charges that alleges he twice sliced the back of a man's head with a champagne bottle during a 21st birthday party in a room at the Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel this past Saturday. Carkuff was arraigned Monday in Portsmouth Circuit Court on felonies alleging first- and second-degree assault. 21 year old Colin Krans of Dover is alleged to have pushed the victim to the ground before the bottle assault. He was released on personal recognizance bail after surrendering to police. Carkhuff was ordered held on $5,000 cash and $2,000 personal recognizance bail. If he is able to post the bail, he's been ordered to observe a curfew from 8 p.m. until 8 a.m. and will be subject to random home inspections and drug and alcohol tests.
