Gov. Lynch Announces August Job Training Grant Recipients
Gov. John Lynch today announced that 10 companies have been awarded Job Training Fund grants in the month of August, including Daystar Computer Services of Newington, HiRel Systems of Dover, Phase 2 Medical Manufacturing of Rochester, C3I of Hampton and ThermoFisher Scientific of Portsmouth. The state grants totaled nearly $200,000 with all 10 companies providing matching funds. In all, more than 450 workers will receive training through these grants. Gov. Lynch made it a priority to reinstate the Job Training Fund in 2007 as part of the state’s successful economic strategy. Since then, the state has issued $5 million in grants – with companies contributing over $7.5 million – to help train more than 14,000 New Hampshire workers.
