Discussions began Wednesday night in Portsmouth during the first Mayor’s Blue Ribbon Garage Selection Committee over the search for the cities next parking structure. Site options discussed were at Parrot Avenue, Bridge Street, Worth, and McIntyre Federal Building lots. New potential sites added to the list on Wednesday were the cities Central Fire Station on Court Street, and the parking lot on Miller Avenue. Mayor Eric Spear has tapped city councilors Tony Coviello, Nancy Novelline-Clayburgh and Chris Dwyer with finding a preferred site and a conceptual design. The next meeting for the Garage Selection Committee is scheduled for September 6th at City Hall.
