Portsmouth Police are investigating the theft of cash from a safe inside the Ruby Tuesday restaurant on Woodbury Avenue. According to Capt. Corey MacDonald, the theft was reported Monday evening by an employee of the restaurant. Police say that the stolen cash was bundled to be deposited at a bank but they have not disclosed the total amount taken. Thus far their investigation showed no signs of forced entry and the case is being investigated by the Portsmouth police department’s patrol division.
