The Barrington Planning Board has given their conditional approval for Turbocam's plans to construct a 93,000-square-foot manufacturing building off of Franklin Pierce Highway. The board also approved a six-lot subdivision plan that divides about 30 acres of town land into six lots, three that will be acquired by Turbocam while the town will retain the remaining three lots. The Turbocam building will consist of two 40,000-square-foot light manufacturing pods and 235 parking spaces, as well as a road which will lead to future manufacturing facilities and to provide access to town lots that will include house athletic fields for the public. Turbocam still needs to acquire a few permits before the Planning Board signs off on the plan. Once constructed and in operation, the new facility is expected to bring in about 200 new jobs.
