Rochester Police responded to the scene of an accident Friday around 7:30 pm where a woman in a crosswalk on Milton Road in front of Market Basket was struck by a van. Thirty-two year old Rebekah Ellsworth was hit by a van driven by eighty year-old Beatrice Smith, and the accident remains under investigation as to whether she had the walk signal or not. Ellsworth was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital and treated for minor injuries and released.
