On Monday night, the Farmington Town of Selectman announced Kevin Willey as the new Chief of Police in town. 43 year old Willey of Rochester has been the interim chief since May and was the overwhelming choice to fill the position. Willey said he hopes to make use of social media and grow the department's online presence while also discussing plans to switch over to the department's online system to the Strafford County Dispatch Center's server, in an effort to save money. Willey started his career in Farmington as a patrol officer before up to detective, then to sergeant detective, and eventually to lieutenant.
