An unidentified female had to airlifted to the Maine Medical Center yesterday afternoon after a rear-end collision on Route 4. Rescue officials had to use extraction tools to get that woman out of her Subaru, which had rear-ended a Dodge Durango that was attempting to make a turn. Traffic on Route 4 was backed up while officials worked the scene and that traffic was detoured. The woman’s injuries were not reported but the two passengers in the Durango were not injured. Members of both the North Berwick Police and Fire Departments responded to that crash.
