Case over Man who Struck Horse Dismissed

Milton Police and the Strafford County Attorney’s office will continue to investigate the case over an elderly driver who struck a teen riding a horse and then fled that scene, even though a Strafford County Superior Court judge dismissed the case in June. Police have suggested that then 85 year old Lincoln Geist of Sanbornville struck that horse from behind on January 17th in Milton Mills, killing the horse. The 18 year old rider was tossed from the horse and was injured. Assistant County Attorney Amy Feliciano said that they are still investigating the case and are determining what potential charges could still be brought against Geist. He was originally charged with a felony level charge for conduct after an accident.
