The NH Deprtment of Transportation has announced that the newly completed section of the Spaulding Turnpike  northbound from Exit 15 to Exit 16 will be opened to traffic for the first time this Tuesday. Highway officials said that motorists should expect delays on that day as they get used to the new lanes. These improvements are just a part of the overall expansion of the Spaulding from Exit 12 to Exit 16 in Rochester. It was also announced earlier this month that construction on expanding the Spaulding Turnpike from Exit 1 to the General Sullivan bridge will be starting later this fall.
