The New Hampshire Department of Transportation has announced that the enhanced shuttle service between Portsmouth and Kittery will end on Saturday September the 15^th and that the regular shuttle service will continue on that date on a normal schedule throughout the fall and winter. A shuttle bus will continue to run between the two cities for 20 hours per day, seven days a week and the stops will remain the same. The Kittery stop is located at the intersection of State Road and Water Street and the stop in Portsmouth is at the intersection of Daniel Street and Bow Street. The service is being widely used by workers who otherwise would be hampered by the shutdown and replacement of the Memorial Bridge. The 81.4 million dollar bridge project is set to be completed and the bridge opened during the summer of 2013.
