A Freemont woman was forced to take evasive action in her car Monday morning when another car failed to yield on Route 125. 53 year old Joanne Hennessey was traveling north when a van being driven by 55 year old Joyce Malley of Lee pulled out in front of Hennessy’s vehicle. Hennessey was forced to swerve her vehicle out of the way, slipping off the road and down the embankment, eventually landing on the car’s roof. Traffic was backed up for a time on Rt. 125 as crews managed to free Hennessy from her vehicle. No charges have yet been filed and the investigation is continuing. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time.
