In last night’s elections, Sam Cataldo beat Dick Green by more than 200 votes in the Senate District 6 Republican primary race. The unofficial totals are 2,358 for Cataldo and 2,153 for Green, and while the official numbers may change slightly, no one expects the result to change. In the State Senate - District 23 - GOP Primary, Russell Prescott defeated Dennis Acton by a margin of 77% to 23%.  In the District 1 Republican Executive Council race, incumbent Ray Burton beat Jerry Thibodeau. In the Executive Council - District 2 - Dem Primary, Colin Van Ostern was your winner with 64% of the votes.
