New wrongdoings came to light during a legislation committee hearing over the State’s Liquor Commission. Recent job postings for high-level jobs at Liquor Enforcement have drawn the ire of current Liquor Enforcement Chief Eddie Edwards, who said that one of the jobs listed is identical to current position and said that the posting popped up shortly after he testified that commissioners had illegally hired a lobbyist. Joe Mollica, Commission Chairman, said the posting had nothing to do with Edwards' testimony, but the committee not only questioned that fact and also wondered where the money would come from for the new positions. The state's website currently lists Edwards as the director of liquor enforcement which is the same as the title of that position posted in the newspaper.
