Park/Resort Planned for those in wheelchairs in Lebanon

A new proposal for the very first outdoor recreation park for those who are in wheelchairs is being planned in Lebanon. The resort, which would be located along the Salmon Falls River is being developed by Geoffrey and Michael Howe of Howe and Howe technologies, who have designed type of wheelchair called the Rip Chair, that is a wheelchair ATV hybrid, that would be able to traverse trails and provide those who otherwise would not be able to take in the scenic views.  Howe and Howe already own the 80 acres along the Salmon Falls River where the resort and park is planned to be located. The project is still in the fundraising stage, as the brothers’ claim they will need to raise around $20 million. Thus far they have raised around $250,000 and hope to have the new facility built in three years’ time.
