The investigation into the activities of Lisa Reed, the former fiscal director of the Somersworth Housing Authority, has led to the existence of two online trading accounts belonging to Reed and the Authority says they are ready to get a court order to gain access to those accounts. The SHA filed suit in January against Reid's husband, Scott Reed, who now controls his late wife's assets, and has asked a superior court judge to put a freeze on those assets. A series of emails provided by Reid's husband, identified an E*TRADE account, and an account with Options Express. Investigators are trying to track what happened to the nearly $1 million dollars that was stolen from the Authority over a seven year period. Lisa Reed committed suicide one day after the investigation started, which linked her to the crime.
