he newly renovated Dover Point DMV office on Boston Harbor Road is now open for business. Assistant DMV Director Arthur Garlow said the $489,000 state project added over 1,400 square feet of additional space to the now 5,500-square-foot facility, all done to improve customer service. The new DMV sports an expanded waiting area and one main entrance, instead of two. Clerks have been cross-trained to handle any transaction, when before the renovation they were only able to handle specific issues. The temporary DMV office at Pease which opened last October was shut down this past Friday.
