Worth Lot Chosen for Parking Structure in Portsmouth
The Worth lot in Portsmouth has been chosen as the sight to build a new parking garage in downtown. The Mayor’s Blue Ribbon Garage Selection committee made that announcement on Tuesday, beating out sights at the McIntyre Federal Building and a privately owned lot on Deer Street. The Worth lot has been considered many times in the past as a spot for a new parking structure, and current plans call expanding the current 110 space parking lot into a new 600 space structure. A work session has now been set for October 15th, where the full city council will review the parking garage committee’s final recommendation.
