Man Accused in Assault Now Facing Witness Tampering Charges
The Rochester man who was accused in October of committing aggravated felonious sexual assault against a toddler has also been indicted on a witness tampering charge, claiming that he told the child not to talk of the assault. Authorities are claiming that 27 year old Michael Daigle told the victim on June 14th to stop telling others about what happened, during a visitation that was supposed to be supervised by the victim's mother. That conversation occurred one day before his scheduled arraignment on the aggravated felonious sexual assault charge. A preliminary pretrial conference hearing for both of Daigle's charges has been scheduled for Oct. 31 at Strafford County Superior Court. He is currently free on personal recognizance bail.
