he designer of the new Memorial Bridge says he likes the idea of putting illumination lights on the bridge. Ted Zoli, national bridge chief designer at NHTB, threw his support behind the idea, as an effort will be launched to raise the $60 to $80 thousand dollars needed to light up the new bridge with led lights. The genesis for that idea came from the Bridge Illumination Subcommittee, part of the Memorial Bridge Public Outreach Advisory Committee. Zoli said that he envisioned lighting might be a possibility when he first designed the bridge. The committee has now begun to raise the fund needed.
