Residents and boarders were in attendance during last nights Dover City Council Meeting where a public hearing into the funding for the relocation of the skateboard park was held. At issue was the taking from the $10,000 payment Dickinson Development is making to Dover each month to hold onto their lease on the waterfront project, which is currently going into the cities general fund. City residents on the Recreation Advisory Board, the skateboard park committee and skateboarders from the Garrison city told councilors said they would like to see $30,000 dollars taken from Dickinson payments for the skate park and they would be responsible for coming up with the additional dollars needed to relocate the park at Maglaras Park. Thus far payments received from Dickinson total $20,000.
