The Portsmouth Police were called to an area behind the Walmart on Lafayette Road this morning to check on a suspicious vehicle that was possibly associated with a missing 10 year old from Colorado. The police impounded the car and transported it to a secure area, where detectives worked with the FBI, Colorado, and Maine State Police to determine if the car had any connection to disappearance of Jessica Ridgeway. The little girl was last seen on October 5th while walking to school, and investigators believe they have found the body of the girl today in Colorado. After an extensive search of the vehicle, the Portsmouth Police said they are confident the vehicle has nothing to do with that case, and have located and returned the car to its owners.
