Authorities from The New Hampshire Attorney’s Office and members of Dover Police held a press conference Monday afternoon to share the latest information into the death and search of 19 year old Elizabeth Marriott. Senior Assistant Attorney General Jane Young said that 29 year old Seth Mazzaglia of Dover strangled Marriott at the Sawyer Mill Apartments where he lived, and they believe they will find her body near Pierce Island. Young said the water search includes the use of sonar and underwater cameras, and plan to use cadaver-sniffing dogs in and around the island. Young said they have notified authorities in Maine and Massachusetts to be on the lookout for the body. Earlier in the day, Mazzaglia appeared via video from Concord in Dover Circuit Court, where he was ordered held without bail on second degree murder charges. Mazzaglia is being held at the Strafford County House of Corrections and is scheduled to appear for a probable cause hearing on October 29 in Dover District Court. Mazzaglia is known to many on the seacoast as an accomplished actor, a martial artist and fight choreographer who was involved in Seacoast theater productions.
