The South Berwick town council met last night and has pinpointed a date to hold a special election to fill the recently vacated seat on the Council. That election will be held on January 15^th, and nominating papers will be available at Town Hall on Oct. 22. The need to fill that seat came after former councilor David Burke resigned after being arrested by Eliot Police on Sept. 28 and charged with domestic violence burglary after he broke into the home of a woman who had a restraining order against him.
