A Portsmouth teenager has been charged with pouring disinfectant into her mother’s Kool-Aid. 17-year-old Brittany Merrill had a dispute with her mother and used about a capful of Lysol in the attempt to poison her. The mom had started drinking the mix before realizing that her throat was burning and calling 9-1-1. The woman later declined assistance from emergency workers in getting to the hospital. No trial date has been set on the poisoning charges.
