The Planning Board in Rye has approved a four-lot subdivision at the site of the Saunders at Rye Harbor Restaurant. The housing development is being called the Moorings at Rye Harbor. It means the restaurant will likely close at the end of the summer and be demolished. Developers obtained a number of variances from the Zoning Board, and have been working with town planners to solve other issues in the months leading up to the decision. The development will be located on Harbor Road in Rye.
